August & Debouzy bolsters its patent activity with the arrival of Mathilde Rauline as Counsel

Mathilde Rauline joins, as Counsel, August & Debouzy’s Technologies Intellectual Property Media team, co-headed by Mahasti Razavi, Florence Chafiol, Grégoire Desrousseaux and François Pochart, partners. This department’s patent activity now includes 2 partners, 1 counsel and 9 associates.
With over 15 years’ experience at Nestlé and Sanofi, Mathilde Rauline joins August & Debouzy’s teams in order to continue the development of August & Debouzy’s patent activity and strengthen its positioning in the pharmaceutical sector.
Mathilde Rauline has a recognized experience in industrial property law, both in legal advice and litigation. Over the past years, she has worked for Sanofi as Head of Europe Patent Litigation. Her skills and know-how in patents (dispute resolution, assessment of damage and patent applications) bolster the already known expertise of the firm in this area. Her in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector and its challenges constitute a real asset for the firm, which is already very active in broad-based healthcare issues.

Mathilde’s arrival follows the one of Isabelle Vigier, Counsel, an expert in business and health law, who assists and supports in a cross-functional manner all members of the firm with regard to health issues by bringing the experience and expertise she has acquired in various pharmaceutical companies, and the arrival of Thierry Lautier, senior associate, who also joins the Patent team as a European Patent Attorney, an Engineer (Ecole Supérieure d'Optique) and a member of the Paris bar after spending several years in a law firm in Paris.
About Mathilde Rauline (aged 38):
Mathilde Rauline has been a European Patent Attorney since 2005. She holds a master’s degree (maîtrise) in human nutrition awarded by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Clermont-Ferrand, and is doubly graduated from the CEIPI (French Center for International Intellectual Property Studies) and the Patent Litigation in Europe course. Mathilde started her career at Nestlé as a patent engineer (2001-2007), then joined Sanofi in the same position (2007) before becoming Head of Europe Patent Litigation of the company in 2013.
