Vincent Brenot joins August & Debouzy as Partner to co-head the public, regulatory and environmental law practice area along with Christian Pierret. With the arrival of Vincent Brenot, this practice area now comprises six experienced legal professionals.

Vincent has 15 years’ experience as a lawyer. He worked 10 years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he became Counsel in 2008 and more than 4 years at Willkie Farr & Gallagher as Partner. Vincent Brenot is recognized for his expertise and know-how in public and environmental law. He serves domestic and international clients from both the public and private sectors. He will complete the range of services offered by the firm in the area of public law, especially in the fields of public contracts and public sector financing. By joining August & Debouzy, he will also enable the firm to develop its environmental law offer, whether in the field of renewable energy or in the field of contaminated sites and soils.

August & Debouzy’s public, regulatory and environment team offers legal counsel and representation in court regarding all aspects of public law: general administrative law, public procurement law (public procurement contracts, public service delegation, PPPs, complex contractual arrangements and public domaniality), expropriation law, financial public law and environmental law. Vincent Brenot’s expertise is completely in line with the team’s positioning and bolsters the practice area. His experience in complex and transnational transactions will be an additional asset for the firm’s large international clientele.

About Vincent Brenot (aged 39):

Vincent Brenot, member of the Paris bar, since 2001, holds a postgraduate degree in Litigation and Public Law from the University of Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris I) and was Prize Winner of the Concours Général (national contest) in Public Law. In 2000, whilst he was finishing his law studies, he started his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, where he became Counsel in 2008. In 2010, Vincent Brenot joined the US law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, as Partner, where he co-founded the public / environmental law practice area. His expertise in public and environmental law is recognized by all French and international rankings including Chambers & Partners (Europe) and Legal 500. He is the author of many articles on public and environmental law, and is a member of the Société Française pour le Droit de l’Environnement (the French Environmental Law Society).
