Emmanuelle Barbara was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1993. She set up the labor and employment group at August & Debouzy which now has over twenty attorneys and 6 partners.

Emmanuelle has taught on the Master II labor law course at the University of Paris-I since 1996. She also initiated a partnership with the University of Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne for continued professional training in labor law, a first between a university and a law firm.

She has also been managing partner of August & Debouzy since 2001.
