CGN Europe Energy, the French subsidiary of Chinese energy giant, CGN, entered into a long-term partnership with French company Inovia Concept Développement for the development, construction and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants across France, with a combined capacity of over 1 gigawatt (GWh), representing a maximum investment of 1 billion euros in the next five years.

For CGN Europe Energy, this first partnership in the solar energy sector is part of its policy to develop renewable energy sources in France that it has already initiated through its investments in multiple wind farms.

CGNEE was assisted in connection with this deal by August & Debouzy, in particular a team led by Julien Aucomte, partner, Julien Wlodarczyk and Léa Karagueuzian, in the corporate law group, and by Vincent Brenot, partner, and Laurène Deville as regards regulatory aspects.
