## Biography

Astrid Mignon Colombet is a highly regarded practitioner in white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and negotiated justice. A member of the Paris Bar for over twenty years and a partner at August Debouzy, she advises French and international corporations, as well as their senior executives, on some of the most complex, high-stakes, and high-profile criminal matters.

Astrid has been involved in landmark cases of economic and political criminal defense, including the Concorde crash, the Erika oil spill, the AZF factory explosion, the Penelope Fillon appeal trial, as well as in transnational French-style deferred prosecution agreements (CJIPs). She is regularly called upon to manage crisis situations, lead internal investigations, negotiate settlements with enforcement authorities—including the French National Financial Prosecutor’s Office—and develop high-stakes compliance and governance strategies with significant reputational impact.

Astrid holds a PhD in Law from Panthéon-Sorbonne University and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris. She teaches economic criminal law at Sciences Po Paris and actively contributes to legal scholarship through regular publications in French and European journals, as well as through her participation in the work of the Club des Juristes, France’s leading legal think tank. She is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and a former Chair of its Criminal Law Committee.

She has been individually ranked and recognized in the areas of “Corporate Compliance & Investigations” and “White-Collar Crime” by Chambers and Partners France 2026 and Legal 500 EMEA 2026.
