## Biography

Mathilde Saltiel joined August Debouzy as a partner in March 2026. Prior to joining, she practiced for 15 years at two US law firms, first at Willkie Farr & Gallagher (in Paris and New York) and later at Latham & Watkins (Paris), where she practiced for five years as a partner.

She provides both advisory and litigation support on EU and French competition law matters. She advises clients on all aspects of merger control, before the European Commission and the French Competition Authority, as well as coordinates global merger control filings. She also represents clients in antitrust investigations (cartels and abuse of a dominant position) and in related litigation. She finally advises on competition compliance matters, including internal investigations, and the design and rollout of compliance programs.

Mathilde has received significant recognition for her work. In 2025 and 2026, she was ranked in Forbes' Top 40 Lawyers of the CAC 40. The same year, she was named in Institut Choiseul’s inaugural Future of Law (Futur du Droit) ranking among the 40 legal professionals under 40 shaping France’s legal landscape, as the sole private practice representative in antitrust.

She has been listed for several consecutive years as a Competition Future Leader by Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) and, in May 2025, was ranked in GCR’s Top Women in Antitrust, which selects a handful of high-profile professionals per country.  
 Clients describe her as brilliant, talented and highly adaptable, with a strong ability to understand clients' business needs and deliver sophisticated strategic advice.

She is a Young Leader of the highly selective French-American Foundation, Class of 2025, and a Young Leader Engagé of the Aspen Institute, Class of 2025.
