## Biography

Philippe Lorentz joined August Debouzy as a partner in 2005 and co-heads the Tax practice.

With over 30 years of experience, he advises French and international corporate groups on the structuring and optimization of their investments.

His practice focuses primarily on the tax aspects of M&A transactions. In particular, he advises leading investment funds on their acquisition and restructuring transactions.

Philippe also advises a wide range of companies in their dealings with the French tax authorities, including in connection with tax audits, negotiations, and litigation.

Earlier in his career, Philippe worked in the tax departments of CEA and the Areva Group. He subsequently joined the law firm Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in 1996, where he became a partner in 2002.
