## Biography

A partner at August Debouzy since 2023, Valérie Munoz-Pons began her career at the firm in 2007 before spending several years at the Paris office of US law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.  
 Her practice focuses on white-collar crime, investigations and compliance.

Valérie represents clients in criminal proceedings brought by judicial and regulatory authorities. She acts at every stage, from investigations to final hearings.

She has particular expertise in white-collar crime matters, including cross-border cases involving corruption, favoritism, unlawful taking of interests, tax fraud, money laundering, the publication of inaccurate financial statements and misuse of corporate assets. She also advises on environmental criminal law matters.

She also assists French and international clients with internal investigations and compliance matters (including whistleblowing procedures, Sapin II compliance audits, training, etc.), in connection with both French laws and regulations, notably the Sapin II Law and the French Duty of Vigilance Law, and the extraterritorial application of US and UK legislation, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act (UKBA).

Valérie teaches compliance, international regulation and business ethics at Sciences Po. She also teaches at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN), having previously taught at HEC Paris for several years.
