Chausson Matériaux entered into “exclusive negotiations” to acquire the French operations of Frans Bonhomme (which represent the majority of the group), which is currently controlled by the financial company Hayfin. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2025, subject to consultation with staff representative bodies and obtaining the required administrative authorizations, including approval from the French Competition Authority (*Autorité de la concurrence*). This acquisition project is fully in line with Chausson Matériaux’s strategy of external growth and market diversification. Following the successful integration of 80 Réseau Pro stores in 2013 and 105 Bois & Matériaux branches in 2020, Chausson Matériaux aims to strengthen its position in strategic segments and further diversify the target markets. Additionally, this acquisition will support Frans Bonhomme in pursuing its development goals within its core market segments.
