August & Debouzy advised Costco France SAS, subsidiary of the Costco Wholesale Corporation group, on the negotiation and signing of a long-term lease and turnkey building contracts with Compagnie de Phalsbourg, a market-leading commercial real-estate company.
The Costco group is a global “wholesale club” chain offering food and non-food products to its members (companies or individuals) at extremely competitive prices. Established in the USA, Canada, Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom, this group, listed in the USA, achieves sales of $93 billion.
This first site, offering a sales area of 14,000 m2, located in Bussy-Saint Georges and which employs approximately two hundred and fifty people, will be a first in continental Europe for the group, which plans to open several other sites in France over the next 5 years.
