The Qair group, an independent producer of renewable energy, welcomes Bpifrance as a new shareholder to accelerate its development in France and internationally.

With this investment, Bpifrance will support the acceleration of Qair’s development on both French and international markets, together with Qair’s historical shareholders.

Qair is a diversified power producer operating in 20 countries across Europe, Brazil, and Africa.  It develops, builds and operates hydroelectric, wind, solar, waste-to-energy and green hydrogen projects. Its 550 employees operate 1 GW of installed capacity, of which 75% is generated by wind power and are developing a 30 GW pipeline.  The group’s portfolio focuses on both proven (onshore and offshore wind, solar, waste-to-energy, and hydropower) and innovative (floating wind, hydrogen, and tidal power) technologies.

The August Debouzy team advising the Qair group was led by Jérôme Brosset (partner), and included Gwendoline Hong Tuan Ha (Counsel), and Juliette Vachet (Associate).

Qair was also advised by 8 advisory, PwC and Taylor De Jongh France.

Bpifrance was advised by Deutsche Bank and BDGS law firm.
