August Debouzy supported Valenciennes Football Club and its majority shareholder, Diables Rouges Holding, in the transfer of control of the club to Sport Republic Group, the owner of Southampton FC and Goztepe football clubs.
Having advised this historic French football club since its rescue in 2014, the teams at August Debouzy law firm assisted Valenciennes Football Club in concluding a subscription and shareholders' agreement and executing a capital increase, fully subscribed by the new majority shareholder, amounting to approximately 15 million euros.
This significant operation allows Valenciennes Football Club to take a new step forward after the continuous support from its majority shareholder for nearly 10 years, strengthening its equity capital to further develop the club's structure with the hope of returning to the top tier of football in the seasons to come.
