Roxane Blanc-Dubois

Counsel

Roxane has developed a solid knowledge in data protection, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters. Roxane's practice also covers commercial and contractual law as well as life sciences. Roxane thus brings a holistic approach to the client's projects and understands the legal needs of clients from various industries.

Roxane notably assists clients from various sectors on all aspects of data protection and carries out comprehensive data protection compliance assessments. She assists clients from the life sciences sector in matter of health data protection issues and other health regulatory questions. She also helps clients in the drafting and negotiating of complex contracts.

Roxane has also in-house counsel experience since she was seconded during several months to a U.S. group and ensured day-to-day legal needs of its French subsidiaries.

Prior to joining August Debouzy, Roxane worked at the Paris offices of two well-known global law firms.

    Update on the possibility for French private entities whose business is maintained to collect personal health data as part of the fight against coronavirus – March 16, 2020

    As a reminder, a data controller may only process personal data based on one of the lawful grounds provided for by Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and, in case of sensitive data, on one of the exceptions to the prohibition on processing such data under Article 9 of the GDPR. The importance of respecting these principles, even in times of crisis, is reminded by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) in its press release published on March 16, 2020.
