August & Debouzy advised the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations in connection with the acquisition of a shareholding in the Aalto Power wind power portfolio from the infrastructure investment fund Infravia.

Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations acquired from Infravia and a pool of individual investors a minority shareholding in Aalto Power, which operates nine onshore wind farms throughout France. Following this acquisition and the readjustment of Aalto Power's share capital, Aalto Power's only shareholders will be the Caisse des dépôts et consignations and Aiolos, an holding company which brings together the historical shareholders of Aalto Power.

The transaction, which was subject to certain conditions precedent that have now been satisfied, was completed on 21 March 2016. Caisse des dépôts et consignations now holds 49.90% of the share capital and voting rights of Aalto Power.

The wind farms operated by Aalto Power, put into operation between 2007 and 2012, are located as follows:

- 3 wind farms in Nord-Pas-de-Calais Picardy for a total capacity of 34 MW;

- 4 wind farms in Alsace-Lorraine-Champagne-Ardenne for a total capacity of 36 MW;

- 2 wind farms in Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes for a total capacity of 29 MW.
