Julien Wagmann

Partner

After 11 years in Linklaters’ Corporate practice, Julien Wagmann joined August Debouzy in September 2013 and was appointed partner in 2015.

Julien has significant experience in advising clients in their LBOs, capital development and venture capital operations, alongside French and foreign investment funds or start-ups.

He has also advised investment banks, industrials, namely in the health or renewable energies sector, or minority investors such as la Caisse des dépôts et consignations where, in 2010, Julien was on secondment for almost a year as legal adviser.

Julien has also developed particular expertise in management package and advises the key managers of small cap or mid cap companies, in all steps of their investment (negotiation of the management package, exit and litigation aspects if any).

    August Debouzy acted as legal counsel to the companies of Geismar, a French industrial group with international reach, specializing in the design and manufacture of equipment for the construction, maintenance, and modernization of railway networks. This acquisition, overseen by the Economic Activities Court of Nanterre, marks the culmination of several years of strategic transformation following economic and financial challenges and difficulties.

    August Debouzy advised the Banque des Territoires and a consortium of funds from Crédit Agricole Transitions Région in acquiring a 49% stake in the FLASH platform, dedicated to electric vehicle charging infrastructure (IRVE), from Demeter through the Fonds de Modernisation Écologique des Transports (FMET). The platform manages nearly 8,000 charging points in France, through partnerships with Izivia, Easy Charge, Spie City Networks, and eTotem. The August Debouzy team covered various areas: transactional, tax, public, real estate, commercial contracts, and insurance.

This acquisition was completed on December 31, 2024.
