August Debouzy has assisted the French State (through the Agence des participations de l'Etat (APE)) with the sale of its minority stake and control of the DCI group (Défense Conseil International), the French Ministry of Armed Forces' operator for transferring and exporting French military knowledge internationally to France's partner countries through consulting and training services and capability building, to the ADIT group (Agence pour la Diffusion de l'Information Technologique), a French leader in strategic and corporate intelligence. This transaction marks DCI’s return to the private sector.

Founded in 2000, DCI (Défense Conseil International) emerged from the merger of four companies whose organizational structures continue to influence its operations today: Navco, Airco, Desco and Cofras, the oldest of which was created in 1972. DCI is the benchmark operator for the transfer of French Armed Forces’ know-how to France's partner countries. DCI is a key player in the field of training, consultancy and technical assistance to States and operates in some fifty countries (including in the Middle East, South-East Asia and Africa). DCI plays a significant role in enhancing France's influence on the international stage.

Majority-owned by the French State since 2019, DCI will now be controlled by the ADIT Group. With this transaction, the ADIT Group will hold a 66% stake in DCI, thereby creating a French soft power giant.

August Debouzy, led by Julien Wagmann, partner, advised the French State (via the Agence des participations de l'Etat (APE)) on the transactional and corporate aspects of the deal. The team included Maxime Legourd, senior associate, and Virginie Desbois, counsel. Additionally, Vincent Brenot, partner, provided expertise on public regulatory law, while Renaud Christol, partner, focused on competition law aspects.
