August Debouzy is proud to announce that Flore Poloni, senior associate, has been appointed co-chair of YIAG (Young International Arbitration Group) of the LCIA (London Court of International Arbitration) for a term of 3 years in recognition of her expertise and that of the firm in the field of international arbitration.

The LCIA Board confirmed the appointment of 4 new co-chairs following a selection process with many candidates from around the globe. Among them was Flore Poloni, senior associate in the Litigation, Arbitration and White Collar Crime practice group at August Debouzy. Having been an active member of YIAG over the past years, she was named co-chair for a term of three years. “I am very enthusiastic at the idea of being responsible for coordinating such a dynamic group, the content is incredibly stimulating and there is a great participation in our debates”, said Flore Poloni.

LCIA is a leading international arbitral institution for the resolution of commercial disputes. It offers flexible, efficient and impartial administration of a high number of arbitration or ADR cases regardless of location or applicable law, as is reflected by the fact that around 80% of LCIA’s cases do not involve English parties.

Established in 1997, YIAG is a LCIA sponsored association for practitioners, students and younger members of the arbitration community under the age of 40 and has over 9,500 members from more than 140 countries. The association aims to promote the understanding and use of international arbitration law and practice. To that end, YIAG regularly organizes events for its members on topical issues in international arbitration. The role of YIAG’s co-chairs is to coordinate the group’s events worldwide and to participate in the exchange of views with regional representatives.
