The first edition of the Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) is coming soon and will gather, from April 24 to April 28, 2017, the international arbitration community around a rich program of debates, lectures, roundtables along with breakfasts, cocktails and even a cruise! Created by Paris, Home of Arbitration, the ICC and the French Arbitration Comity, the PAW will be the opportunity for Marie Danis, partner and international arbitration specialist at August Debouzy, who has also initiated this project, to participate in two much anticipated events on April 25 and April 26:

The chairman, Mirèze Philippe, special advisor of the ICC will moderate the debate between two former “bâtonniers” Christiane Feral-Schul and Michel Benichou, Fabien Gelinas, professor at McGill University and Rosa Taban, legal director of eJust, the first online platform dedicated to arbitration. This event is part of the Global Pound Conferences which takes places in about thirty countries over two years and for which the Parisian edition shall focus on prospective thinking on Conflict Resolution by 2050.

- A conference entitled “Third Party Funding: From the Ethical to the Financial considerations” will take place on Thursday, April 27 inside the walls of Université La Sorbonne in Paris. This event is co-organized by the law firm August Debouzy and Vannin Capital, one of the first and most experienced third party investor in international arbitration. Two roundtables will respectively be moderated by Marie Danis (August Debouzy) and Yasmin Mohammad (Vannin Capital) and will gather Christine Guerrier (Thalès), Aurélien Hamelle (Total) and Nicolas Brook (Société Générale) but also professors Mathias Audit, Nicolas Angelet and Christophe Seraglini.
