Class action

For over fifteen years we have kept a close watch on the development of class actions in France. On behalf of certain clients, our lawyers have been at the forefront of this topic since the law was published.

We have drafted countless memoranda and legal commentaries on class actions, and have worked very closely with professional organizations, associations and academia. On December 10, 2014, we participated in a round table discussion organized by the Social Affairs Commission of the French National Assembly, on class actions in the health sector provided for under health minister Marisol Touraine’s draft law, the loi “Santé”.

Our contribution to the debate has been highlighted in a number of articles we have published the legal and business press, focusing on the class action process, shortcomings in the legislation, as well as related risks. We regularly provide training sessions that present the provisions in force from a practical standpoint and make businesses aware of the risks (legal, financial and media-related) associated with the new law, as well as measures that should be put in place to mitigate such risks.

We have also established a platform of services dedicated to this new form of legal action, in partnership with specialized communications agencies.
