Bernard Attali was born in 1943 in Algiers as a French citizen. After his studies (Sciences Po / ENA) his career went from public to private sector.
Financial Juge at the French National Audit Office, in 1968, CFO of Club Med in 1979, Deputy CEO at DATAR (French regional planning institution attached to the Prime Minister) in 1982, Chairman of the EU Regional Policy Committee in 1983, Chairman and CEO of the 3rd largest French insurance company (GAN) in 1984, Chairman and CEO of Air France in 1988, Chairman of Iata IATA Excom in 91, Chairman of Bankers Trust France in 1995, Vice-Chairman of Deutsche Bank Europe in 1997, senior advisor of TPG Capital in 2000, senior advisor of Bank of America, BC Partners, Brookfield Capital and August et Debouzy since 2019, and senior advisor of EQT in 2021.
Bernard Attali has been board member of large companies (BNP, Soc Gen, CIC, SNCF, La Poste, Aérospatiale, Sabena, Scor, IATA, Meridien, TDF)... and is Honorary Chairman of Air France.
