Mathilde Saltiel joined August Debouzy as a partner in February 2026. She previously practiced at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and later at Latham & Watkins, where she was promoted to partner in 2021.
She provides both advisory and litigation support on EU and French competition law matters.
She advises clients on all aspects of merger control, including the notification of transactions before the European Commission and the French Competition Authority. She also represents clients in antitrust investigations and related litigation, and advises on State aid and competition compliance matters.
A recognized thought leader in competition law, Mathilde serves as Vice-Chair of the European American Chamber of Commerce Antitrust Committee, which regularly brings together leading practitioners to share knowledge, insights, and best practices on antitrust issues. She frequently speaks at industry conferences on EU and French competition matters.
In 2025, Mathilde was recognized in Institut Choiseul’s inaugural Futur du Droit ranking, which highlights 40 legal professionals under 40 shaping the future of France’s legal landscape. She was the sole private practice representative in antitrust law included in this ranking.
She has also been named for several consecutive years as a Competition Future Leader by Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal), reflecting the market’s recognition of the quality and impact of her work.
Most recently, in May 2025, she was included in GCR’s Top Women in Antitrust, a ranking that recognizes a select number of leading practitioners in each jurisdiction for their influential contributions and achievements in the field.
