Senior partner, Member of the Paris Bar
Emmanuelle Barbara is a senior partner at August Debouzy. She was managing partner for 16 years (2001-2017), a time during which she set up our social practice, which leads on all employment and labor law matters.
Under her leadership, our social law practice became recognized as one of the best in France, with Emmanuelle being awarded “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in 2012, 2018 and 2024.
Emmanuelle teaches at Sciences Po Paris’ Law School, and works with numerous French think tanks on the future of labor rights in France. She joined August Debouzy in 1996.
