August Debouzy advised Neuflize OBC on the sale of its equity interest in Cofiloisirs to BNP Paribas

Communiqué | 10/02/22 | 1 min. | Valéry Denoix de Saint Marc Pierre Descheemaeker Ludovic de Talancé

August Debouzy advised Neuflize OBC on the signing of an agreement with BNP Paribas on the sale of its equity interest in the financing company Cofiloisirs, an historic player in film financing created in 1972, and one of the French and European leaders in this sector, with a total amount of loans under management of EUR 680 million.

The banks, which both operate their own audio-visual financing activities, each held 46% of Cofiloisirs' capital until now. The transaction is expected to be finalised in the second quarter of 2022, notably following approval by the ACPR.

While maintaining a strong focus on the audio-visual and film sector, Neuflize OBC is reorganising itself to adapt to the new changes in the sector and extend its expertise to all cultural industries. For decades, it has been one of the leaders in the assistance to film and audio-visual companies and, in a private capacity, of their managers and shareholders. Neuflize OBC will continue to assist its clients using its own banking and credit solutions in a sector that is expected to experience strong growth in 2022. It has also decided to expand its development in fast growing activities (video games, artificial intelligence, big data, cyber security, and new digital technologies).

August Debouzy advised Neuflize OBC, with Valéry Denoix de Saint Marc and Pierre Descheemaeker, partners, and Ludovic de Talancé, associate.
