August Debouzy announces the promotion of Jean-Damien Boulanger, Laure Hosni and Diane Reboursier to partnership. These appointments support the firm’s strategic growth plan and reflect the continued strengthening of its teams in key practice areas, in line with its full-service approach addressing the global challenges faced by companies and their executives.

These promotions underscore August Debouzy’s commitment to advancing internal talent capable of handling increasingly complex, sensitive and strategic matters.

These promotions reflect the momentum of August Debouzy and our decision to develop talent from within. Laure, Diane and Jean-Damien embody what we stand for every day: technical excellence, a strong team spirit and the ability to support our clients well beyond the strict application of the law, at the heart of their strategic challenges,” said Mahasti Razavi, Managing Partner.

A corporate department further enhancing its expertise in securities and capital markets law

Jean-Damien Boulanger advises across the full spectrum of corporate law, including securities law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and the governance of listed and unlisted companies. His comprehensive approach enables him to handle matters holistically, beyond a siloed, specialist perspective.

He advises senior executives, corporate officers and general counsel on complex matters in France and internationally, bringing a cross-disciplinary and strategic perspective to the transactions and projects he leads. His appointment further strengthens August Debouzy’s Corporate practice.

Being promoted to partner at August Debouzy is part of a strong collective ambition to promote a full-service model built on cross-practice collaboration and long-term client relationships. My background in securities law and capital markets now supports a deliberately broad corporate practice, enabling me to assist clients over the long term through an integrated and comprehensive understanding of their challenges. This is a key driver of trust and gives full meaning to our role as lawyers and to the distinctiveness of August Debouzy: breaking down silos and embedding legal advice within a broader strategic vision,” said Jean-Damien Boulanger.

Following two recent lateral hires in Private Equity, Jean-Damien’s promotion reaffirms August Debouzy’s ambition to operate as a comprehensive platform in France and internationally, across the full M&A spectrum, from securities law to private equity, in order to address all of our clients’ transactional needs with a high level of expertise and strategic insight. His outstanding track record and leading experience in capital markets and securities transactions fully align with our commitment to providing cross-practice support to clients in their transactions and further strengthens this positioning. Our M&A department also continues to work closely with our restructuring, banking and corporate finance teams,” added Julien Aucomte, on behalf of all partners in the Corporate department.

Jean-Damien Boulanger joins the firm’s M&A and Private Equity teams, which include founding partner Gilles August, Julien Aucomte, Jérôme Brosset, Valéry Denoix de Saint Marc, Étienne Mathey, Antoine Ricol and Julien Wagmann.

Two new partners reflecting the experience and boldness of our employment and social security practice

Laure Hosni has developed a practice dedicated to supporting companies in their transformation projects, closely aligned with their strategic and human considerations. She works alongside senior executives on sensitive matters involving mergers, disposals and structural reorganizations, which require carefully calibrated legal, organizational and human decision-making.

Her practice is characterized by close collaboration with executive teams and a tailored, pragmatic and creative approach, incorporating the collective, organizational and operational dimensions of transformation projects.

I am honored to be promoted to partner at August Debouzy. This promotion has particular meaning for me, having built my career within the Employment and Social Security department in an environment where responsibilities were entrusted to me at an early stage, supported by genuine freedom of expression and a diversity of personalities that foster collective excellence.

These conditions have given full meaning to my practice: standing alongside senior executives at decisive moments of transformation, advising them in their choices, proposing creative solutions and moving forward with clarity and confidence. I look forward to further developing this approach, particularly in an international environment and in response to the technological challenges that are profoundly reshaping organizations,” commented Laure Hosni.

Diane Reboursier designs bespoke solutions for matters at the intersection of multiple disciplines, where conventional frameworks no longer suffice. She advises and represents clients in employment law matters, including litigation, particularly in connection with workforce transformations.

She regularly acts for clients in the media, digital and platform sectors, working in close coordination with the firm’s other practice areas.

August Debouzy provides a unique platform for handling cross-disciplinary matters for which no obvious solution exists. These cases, both advisory and contentious, and the collective work they require within the firm have shaped my practice. I am grateful to all of the teams, and particularly to the Employment and Social Security department, for enabling me to work on landmark matters requiring the development of innovative legal solutions. I am proud to continue this approach as a partner,” said Diane Reboursier.

With the promotions of Laure Hosni and Diane Reboursier, the Employment and Social Security department now comprises ten partners. They join Emmanuelle Barbara, Marie-Hélène Bensadoun, Virginie Devos, Philippe Durand, Fabienne Haas, Catherine Le Manchec, Eric Manca and Anaïs Qureshi.

It is a tremendous source of pride to see Laure Hosni and Diane Reboursier promoted to partnership. From day one, they embraced and brilliantly embodied the firm’s values. Diane and Laure represent a vital part of our identity and of what we have been building with determination over the past thirty years: a distinctive employment law practice grounded in rigor, experience and boldness. Their promotion marks a natural and self-evident passing of the torch,” said Emmanuelle Barbara, Senior Partner, on behalf of all partners in the Employment and Social Security department.

A strategy centered on internal development and recognition

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025, August Debouzy continues to pursue a growth trajectory driven by the development of its areas of expertise, with retention and internal promotion forming key pillars of its strategy.

These three appointments illustrate the firm’s ability to identify, train and elevate lawyers destined to play a central role in supporting companies operating in an evolving economic, social and regulatory environment.
