August Debouzy assisted Adecco Group in the acquisition of the French online recruitment start-up QAPA

Communiqué | 17/09/21 | 2 min. |

The French law firm August Debouzy advised Adecco, the world leader in human resources solutions, in its acquisition of QAPA, a French start-up and member of the French Tech 120, which offers a 100% digital recruitment solution, from the investment funds Index Ventures, Partech Ventures and 360 Capital Partner.

Number two in 100% digital temporary employment on the French market, QAPA launched its recruitment platform in 2017, which offers a fully paperless solution based on a learning algorithm. With today nearly 4.5 million candidates for hundreds of thousands of job offers, the digital platform promises an average processing time of one hour for 80% of hires.

The acquisition of QAPA thus confirms the accelerating growth of the French online recruitment market, which has increased eightfold over the last two years to reach approximately €350 million, and for which temporary employment had not been the main driving force so far.

In view of the prospects offered by digital technology in the recruitment market, the acquisition of QAPA by Adecco Groupe is an important step in favor of the 2.0 temporary employment and the digitalization of the sector. This operation is part of Adecco Group's strategy to expand its offer to meet the expectations of its clients and temporary workers.

The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2021.

August Debouzy acted as counsel of Adecco Group. The deal team was composed of: Julien Aucomte (Partner), Maxime Legourd (Associate), Coralie Foucault (Associate), Juliette Vachet; Philippe Lorentz (Partner), Elie Bétard (Senior Associate), Franck Gapenne (Associate); Alexandra Berg-Moussa (Partner), Aurélien Micheli (Associate), Antoine Boullet (Associate), Laure Bonin (Partner); Emmanuel Le Galloc'h (Associate), Julien Wlodarczyk (Counsel); Florence Chafiol (Partner), Laure Arnon-Duquesnoy (Senior associate ), Héloise Jardel (Lawyer); Olivier Attias (Counsel); Virginie Devos (Partner), Alexandre Dumortier (Associate) and Boris Leone-Robin (Senior Associate).
