August Debouzy and in particular its German Desk has advised, alongside the leading German law firm Noerr, Heycar Group (Mobility Trader Holding GmbH), an operator of high-quality used cars online marketplace backed by Volkswagen Financial Services, Volkswagen, Daimler Mobility and Allianz, on the acquisition of a stake in the Heycar Group by Renault Group and its subsidiary RCI Bank and Services, including connecting Carizy, a French start-up specialized in the online C2C sale of used cars, to Heycar.
This partnership marks the entry of Heycar group on the French market with the ambition of becoming a market-leading one-stop-shop for quality cars, including fully integrated product offerings such as financing, leasing, insurance products and other value-added services.
August Debouzy has also advised Heycar Group on all aspects of the launch of its activity in France, including on corporate, commercial, data protection, financial regulation and employment matters.
