Antonia Raccat joins August Debouzy as a partner: a milestone in the growth of the “Real Estate and Construction” practice area

August Debouzy welcomes the arrival of Antonia Raccat, a major figure in real estate and real estate financing circles, as a partner at our firm. Her arrival, together with that of her senior associate, Catherine Mintégui, will strengthen the firm’s “Real Estate and Construction” practice area set up 15 months ago by August Debouzy partner Guillaume Aubatier.
These two experienced partners who are recognized in the market, will speed up the development of this practice area following a sectoral approach, in synergy with partners in our other areas of expertise (such as Vincent Brenot in his urban planning and environmental law practice, Laurent Cotret in his restructuring practice, Emmanuelle Mignon in her regulatory practice, and Philippe Lorentz in his tax practice).
With 25 years’ of career to her credit, Antonia Raccat is an authority in her field.
She advises three types of private actors in France and abroad with their complex real estate investment projects and their financing: international funds, insurance companies, and asset managers.
This alliance will be especially complementary with Guillaume Aubatier’s activity, extending the range of expertise offered by the firm’s “Real Estate and Construction” practice area and strengthening its international dimension thanks to Antonia Raccat’s recognized experience in cross-border deals after having worked in Rome, Milan and Paris.
With her addition, the firm has consolidated its resolutely integrated service offer to support clients with all of their strategic real estate projects, by offering “one-stop shop” legal and strategic support.

Antonia Raccat graduated with a cum laude DEA postgraduate degree in general private law from Paris II-Panthéon-Assas University and with a cum laude Master’s in private law from Paris Panthéon Assas University and the Sapienza University of Rome. She has worked in both French and global law firms, including Jones Day (2000-2007), Taylor Wessing (2007), Dentons (former Salans) (2007-2011), LPA-CGR (2011-2015), DLA Piper (2015-2021), and most recently AREA Avocats, which she founded.
About CATHERINE MINTÉGUI
Catherine Mintégui earned a Master II in international and European law from Paris-Nanterre University, and an L.L.M. in international trade and commercial law from Durham University. She worked for several years at Jones Day before joining Antonia Raccat at DLA Piper in 2019. In 2021, she joined AREA Avocats.
