Valérie Munoz-Pons has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2007. As a partner, her practice focuses on white collar crime, compliance and investigations.
Valérie assists her clients in connection with criminal cases initiated by judicial and regulatory authorities, at all stages of proceedings, from investigation to final hearing.
She has particular expertise in white-collar crime cases (corruption, favouritism, publishing of false financial statements, misuse of corporate assets).
She also assists French and international clients with compliance issues (including preparing codes of conduct, conducting internal investigations and risk mapping, setting up whistle-blowing hotlines, training, etc.) in connection with the deployment of French regulations (“Sapin II” Law and “duty of care” law) and the extraterritorial application of American (FCPA) and British (UKBA) regulations.
Valerie worked in the Paris office of the American law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP for several years.
She teaches Compliance, International Regulation and Business Ethics at the Institute of Political Studies, also called Sciences Po. She also teaches at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN), after several years of teaching at HEC business school.
