August Debouzy continues to expand its European law practice with the addition of Marc Mossé

Communiqué | 19/05/22 | 4 min. |

August Debouzy is taking its European law practice to another level with the addition of Marc Mossé, who is joining, as senior counsel, the team headed by Emmanuelle Mignon in conjunction with Bernard Cazeneuve and Pierre Sellal.

At a time when the legislative and regulatory environment is becoming increasingly complex, companies need, more than ever, a more predictable regulatory and litigation landscape in order to consolidate their sustainability and growth in Europe and on the international scene.

The addition of Marc Mossé is intended to bolster the ability of August Debouzy’s teams to offer clients the capacity to project, act and react so that they positively impact discussions and outcomes in matters involving high strategic stakes.

Marc Mossé has a unique background. He has worked in the legal and public affairs departments of several multinationals and has just spent 6 years in Brussels. He also served as the President of the French Association of In-House Lawyers (AFJE). He is also a former Secretary of the Conférence des Avocats au Conseil d’Etat et à la Cour de Cassation (winner of a prestigious contest organized by the Bar Association of the Council of State and the Court of Cassation). August Debouzy’s clients will thus benefit from his in-depth knowledge of European institutions as well as of the major challenges facing corporate legal departments.

I am happy to welcome back Marc Mossé, who began his career as a lawyer working at August Debouzy. As a prominent figure in the legal community, his sharp knowledge of the European institutional machinery and the tech ecosystem will be a great asset for the firm and serve to consolidate its interest in the tech sector as well as its profoundly European nature,” said Mahasti Razavi, Managing Partner.

Going back to the firm was the manifest next stage for me. I am very attached to the firm, which stands out due to its agility and spirit of conquest. My ambition is to contribute to enriching the firm’s European law advisory services to enable our clients to anticipate changes in the legal and regulatory framework and to influence future strategic issues,” added Marc Mossé.

Marc Mossé’s arrival reflects the firm’s vision: strengthening the support we are able to provide our clients in expressing and defending their strategic interests in the face of regulatory changes at the EU level. The legal strike force of our team, composed of lawyers with complementary backgrounds – coming from both the senior civil service and the corporate world – together with the expertise of the firm's other departments, enriches the specificity of our global offer, by combining an excellent knowledge of national issues with a clear understanding of European issues,” added Emmanuelle Mignon.
