August Debouzy creates a practice dedicated to the real estate industry, with the arrival of Guillaume Aubatier as partner

August Debouzy is pursuing its growth with the creation of dedicated practice to the real estate industry. The arrival of Guillaume Aubatier and his team composed of Dorian Scemama, counsel, and Malvina Dahan, associate, reinforces the full-service nature of the firm.
The creation of a department headed by Guillaume Aubatier dedicated to the real estate industry is part of August Debouzy's strategy to consolidate its highly integrated range of services, to assist its clients in each phase of their projects. The new team in charge of this new practice will particularly rely on Julien Wlodarczyk expertise in real estate law, and August Debouzy's partners, especially Laure Bonin in finance, Vincent Brenot in urban planning law and environmental law, Emmanuelle Mignon in regulatory law, Philippe Lorentz in tax law, Benjamin van Gaver in litigation, Leïla Hubeaut in energy law, Laurent Cotret in restructuring and Jérôme Brosset in securities law.
Working since 2005, Guillaume Aubatier, 40 years old, is a real estate and construction specialist. He advises numerous French and international clients on all types of assets (offices, retail, logistics, hotels, and alternative assets), as well as on investment transactions (asset and share deals), complex corporate real estate (joint ventures and strategic partnerships), development and construction, leases, and asset management. Guillaume Aubatier also acts in pre-litigation and litigation proceedings. This dual expertise enables him to work with a wide range of French and international clients: pension funds, investment funds, asset managers, banks, large companies, users, and family offices.
Guillaume Aubatier has been involved in many emblematic cases in this industry:
● In 2019, he assisted CNP on the dual transaction of the sale of its headquarters in Montparnasse and the acquisition, in the future state of completion, of its new headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
● In 2020, he acted alongside Ingka Investments in the acquisition from Invesco of retail and office premises to set up and operate Ikea's new Paris store.
● Guillaume Aubatier has recently assisted M&G Real Estate, Segro, BT Immo, Deka Immobilien GmbH, Accuracy, WeWork and EDF-ENR in setting up a joint venture, creating strategic partnerships, acquiring, and disposing of large real estate complexes, implementing complex development or construction operations and leasing prime locations (notably in the future state of completion).
With the creation of this new practice, August Debouzy now covers all the real estate industry dimensions, from real estate investment and financing to construction, including litigation, leasing law, complex corporate real estate, securities law, tax law, urban planning and environmental law, regulatory law, energy law and restructuring.
