August Debouzy advised IMI, a subsidiary of the CMI group, in connection with the contemplated acquisition from Vivendi of 100% of Editis, one of the leading French publishing groups.
CMI is the Czech Republic’s leading media house with four dailies, numerous magazines, large digital presence and radio stations in the Czech Republic, and Romania. CMI France is the France’s second-largest magazine publisher by circulation.
The acquisition of Editis, which remains subject to the consultation of the employee representative bodies and required regulatory approvals, will reinforce CMI's development strategy in the content industry, while complying with the dimension of cultural exception specific to these activities.
