A leading patents team joins August & Debouzy. This team of 4 attorneys led by Grégoire Desrousseaux and François Pochart, partners, specializing in patents, and particularly patent litigation, is considered by all leading French and international publications in the field to be one of the best on the French market.
The conjugation of this team’s know-how and unique profile will enable August & Debouzy to offer a new area of expertise. Industrial property, and particularly patent litigation, is now one of the most strategic areas for its clients.
The particularity of this team is that its members are all engineers with full legal training and the CEIPI diploma. They are former French patent attorneys, seasoned lawyers and European patent attorneys registered with the European Patent Office (EPO) and have worked together on many advisory and contentious cases. The team offers a dual experience in procedures before the French courts and before the EPO. They can thus offer clients a full range of advisory services and litigation strategies using the best opportunities available at national and European level.
Thanks to the team’s varied educational backgrounds, it can offer a full range of technical expertise and practices in all areas: chemicals, biochemistry, mechanics, physics, telecoms and new technologies, etc. Grégoire Desrousseaux and François Pochart have developed a renowned expertise in pharmaceutical litigation and cross-border litigation.

Grégoire Desrousseaux (aged 44) is an alumnus of the Ecole Polytechnique and specialized in telecommunications at Télécoms Paris. He is a European Patent Attorney and a former French patent attorney and has been an attorney and member of the Paris bar since 2000. His practice focuses on patent litigation.
François Pochart (aged 44) is an alumnus of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques. He is a European Patent Attorney and practiced as a French patent attorney before joining August & Debouzy.
Ashvane Fowdar (aged 29), an engineering alumnus of ENSAM and attorney, Renaud Fulconis (aged 33), alumnus of the Ecole Polytechnique, doctor in biophysics and European patent attorney, and Edouard Kling (aged 27), alumnus of HEI and a European patent attorney, are also joining August & Debouzy as associates.
They will join the IP/IT group co-led by Mahasti Razavi and Florence Chafiol. The group now has 4 partners.
